AUSTRALIA: Couture Bridal Designers Hit the Catwalk

Held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre on Saturday 21 June and Sunday 22 June 2008, brides will be inspired by the latest bridal trends from big name designers. The catwalk shows give brides-to-be the chance to decide what style of gown they like best.

Bride magazine fashion editor Kirstie Armiger-Grant says the fashion shows are always exciting and not to be missed. "We cater for every style of bride whether you are after a contemporary wedding dress or traditional wedding dress," Kirstie says. "But above all, it's a really entertaining day."

The expo also brings more than 100 stalls of quality wedding suppliers under one roof, allowing couples to meet stationers, wedding photographers, venue operators and many more suppliers. Doors open at 10am and close at 6pm each day. Tickets are available at ticketmaster or at the door.

The expo brings Melbourne Bride magazine to life each year, and is also affiliated with popular website, bride.com.au. The website's regularly updated picture gallery allows brides to scroll through hundreds of wedding dresses, helping them put together their own wedding-day look.
