UNITED STATES: Humorous Line of Baby Wear Offers Small Solution to Serious Situation

San Diego, CA  -- As Amy Cubbison, owner of the witty casual-wear line Leave Me B, headed to the gym for her routine morning workout with a friend, she thought aloud about ways in which she could donate to the suffering people of Haiti. Her answer came to her quickly as she boarded her stair-climbing machine, only to look up at flat-screen TV tuned in to the story on CNN. As the CNN reporter turned her focus to a Haitian mother holding a baby, Amy couldn’t believe her eyes: Amy’s Baby T-shirt, called a One Zee, was on the baby that was being held and read the headline of this story, “Does This Diaper Make My Butt Look Big?” Amy nearly fell off the stair climber in excitement.

Life is often so serious and we're here to offer a little comic relief with our product. It’s amazing that we’re helping people on the other side of the world.

“Every year when colors or styles get discontinued, LeaveMeB.com donates to several notable charities,” explained Cubbison. “Perhaps one of those charities forwarded it on to aid suppliers in Haiti. I’d like to think several of our products made their way there and that we’re making a difference.”

Cubbsion, wife and mother of three children under age 11, heard it all during her pregnancies: “You look like you’re about to pop!” “Are there twins in there?” “You haven’t had that baby yet?” She finally offered an answer to each of those pesky questions – as well as some other choice words – now to be read on the chests of the nation’s hottest pregnant women and moms. The line was broadened through her journey of being a working mom raising three kids, and now features pieces for babies, kids, single women and dads.

“Life is often so serious and we're here to offer a little comic relief with our product,” explained Cubbison. “It’s amazing that we’re helping people on the other side of the world.”

Leave Me B designs are all comfortable, stretchy and 100% cotton. While several Leave Me B lines are featured at boutiques throughout the nation, all items can be purchased at www.leavemeb.com, which is also the home to Cubbison’s personal blog, Diary of a Housewife, a funny, bold and honest account of what it really means to be a housewife today. Originally just maternity, Leave Me B now offers hilarious tee shirts for the entire family as well as gift items like martini glasses, cocktail napkins, and more.
