GERMANY: OLEOPHOBOL CP-C, Simply The Best Fabric Protection

Basel, – Stain repellence and soil release for fantastic fabric protection has just been enriched with the launch of a new product specifically formulated for cotton. OLEOPHOBOL® CP-C is the next generation oil, water, and stain repellent finish for cotton fibers, synthetics fibers and their blends. Liquids bead up and roll off, and spills can be blotted up quickly with a clean, dry absorbent cloth. This new product is yet another innovation arising out of the Huntsman Textile Effects and DuPont Alliance which delivers maximum performance with minimum environmental footprint. Part of the DuPont™ Capstone™ repellent and stain release product range, these products are based on short-chain chemistry, improve fluorine efficiency beyond the level expected for a typical short-chain product and provide a step-change reduction in trace impurities below the limit of detection.

OLEOPHOBOL® CP products meet the goals of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 2010/15 PFOA Stewardship Program five years ahead of schedule, and they are compliant with the EU Directive 2006/122 for PFOS relating to restrictions on the marketing and use of PFOS.
OLEOPHOBOL® CP was originally launched last year and comes in a variety of specialized formulae each developed to deliver a specific effect on a particular fiber. The two previously launched products were OLEOPHOBOL® CP-S, a stain repellant similar to CP-C only it is formulated for synthetic fibers and their blends.

Rounding off the range is OLEOPHOBOL® CP-R, a stain release finish for cotton, synthetic and blends. It allows both water and oil-based stains to be removed more easily during the laundering process. All these effects are built to last even after multiple laundering. OLEOPHOBOL® CP-R and OLEOPHOBOL® CP-S are also listed in the bluesign® registry of finishes.
