UNITED KINGDOM: Bridgeport Village Announces the Very Engaging Bridal Event

TIGARD, Ore. - Bridgeport Village, Portland’s premier shopping and dining destination, and Portland Bride and Groom magazine will host the fourth “Very Engaging Bridal Event” Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

A celebration of the latest wedding trends, accessories and fashion, the event will showcase everything for a stylish wedding day. Brides-to-be can try on the latest wedding dresses, sample decadent wedding cake and champagne, meet with wedding planners, view cutting edge floral designs and more. Brides and grooms can also find specials on honeymoon attire and travel. The event is free and open to the public.

This unique event partners top local vendors with participating Bridgeport Village retailers to create one-of-a-kind displays inside stores. Again this year, Orvis will be hosting the Groom’s Lounge, providing grooms a place to relax and enjoy beer samplings from local breweries. Brides can check in at the bridal tent in center court and receive a free goody bag and event map.

The latest in bridal fashions will be featured from 11 a.m. – 4p.m. September 24 and 25 at Bridgeport Village during the Brides Against Breast Cancer wedding gown sale. “It’s a great time for brides to find the perfect dress and also support women everywhere,” said Kiki Hanover, Marketing Director for Bridgeport Village.

Brides Against Breast Cancer raises funds for the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to granting wishes and memory-making events for men and women battling stage IV breast cancer. Dresses can be previewed Saturday during Power Hours from 9 – 11 a.m.; tickets for the preview are $10 and are limited to the first 50 brides.
